Treo 650 For Kids
I want to get a Treo 650 for my son and daughter whom are 15 and 16. what do you think on this subject?

😳 Seriously? That phone is usually too much for most adults to handle. Let alone teenagers. I bet they would kick your bill thru the ROOF with web access and text messaging. Plus the initial cost of the phone--and you definitely want to get the insurance because teenagers are notorious phone abusers.
No offense to your kids personally. But most phones these days have a little calendar in them and can do text messaging and ringers and take pictures and all the cool stuff that teens want. In more colors too. I'd say stick to midrange phones.

I have a treo 650 and my son who is 13 wants one. I think its a great idea. It can help them organize their activities, makes text messaging a snap,. My son has the 2.99 300 messages plan, and if you dont want them to surf the web you can disable that for free by calling your provider. The treo is easy to use I dont think the person who replied before me ever even had one? My son has had a cell since he was 10 and has never harmed one in any way nor has he ever lost one. And now most of his friends how are also 13 have one too. 😁 😁

if your gonna get them a palm, go for the 650. it's a great phone, gonna save you a couple hundred bucks(compared to the 700), and also save you a good amount of money every month for other features.
i think if they can actually use it for what it's meant to be used for, it's a great idea. i had a palm when i was a kid, and only used it for games. today, the organizational qualities are invaluable to me.

Age is nothing but a number (at least when it comes to cell phones). If they can utilize the functions of a Treo, then why not!
