Verizon's LTE Technical Trials Complete, User Testing Next

Verizon Wireless recently provided an update on the development of its Long Term Evolution network. David Clevenger, executive director of public affairs at Verizon Wireless, said, "Technical trials are staged [and] tiered in accordance with industry standards. They're [now] completed." Verizon had been testing LTE in Boston and Seattle. Verizon said it is now moving onto the next phase of testing its LTE network. "The next phase is 'friendly user trials,' which means we're looking for feedback on the network," said Clevenger. Verizon didn't say who the testers would be, but Michelle Gilbert of Verizon Wireless public relations, said, "Verizon Wireless is tapping select users in select cities for the friendly user trials." These testers will most likely be Verizon employees. Verizon also said it is expanding its testing to an additional three U.S. cities, though it declined to name them.

Strong 4G with Sprint/Clear and soon to be LTE with Verizon! Not to mention some of the best hiking around! 🙂

I live in a loser desert!
But we do have Clear Wimax, and I do believe Las Vegas will be among the 25-30 launch cities when Verizon launches it's LTE network. Just my personal theory is all, not saying I read it anywhere.
