Oh wow...hell must have frozen over

This is unheard of at&t doing. I got gophone service....i use my G1 and it being a quad band phone....on US-20 going from michigan to indiana...no service for over an hour of driving. idk why at&t is so expensive with such horrible service. with t-mob i never experienced dead zones, not even in the smokey mountains in Tennessee, my at&t phone had no signal there. might just go back to t-mob and get a flexpay plan

Nice Start

$60 should be the price of all carriers post pay Unlimited Voice and Messaging plan as well. Anyone with GV and My Favs, My Circle etc...could have it at this price point anyway.
This is a really great deal. Prepaid means no overages, no taxes and you can talk and text all you want for $2 a day. Great for kids or even for adults if data is not needed. A nice price point for unlimited which is much cheaper than a regular plan.
I wonder why prepaid customers get a better unlimited rate plan than post paid customers?!!?

You just sign up with Page Plus. Same and a better network for $39.95 per month.

Will This...?

Will this maybe have an effect on AT&T Post-Paid Plans in the Future? You can only get unlimited talk on AT&T (No Texting) for $99.

Now, I know the coverage area is much smaller with Pre-paid because it is using AT&T's True Network, but Honestly, this is a really great deal coming from AT&T!

I wonder if this their post-paid plans will come down in the near future...
it will have an effect, think about it a customer walks in wonders how much unlimited everything plan is for just talk and text that approximately is $120 + tax. Then they see the go phone plan for $60 for the same exact thing just an inferior network...

Now if they’d just lower the cost of their post paid services.

The way it works

Currently there are 3 gophone plans.

*25 cents a minute

*$1 a day

*$3 a day

This new $60 unlimited talk and text is NOT a plan. Currently, you can buy features (texting, data usage etc...) with any of the above plans and it just takes from your balance. This new $50 unlimited talk and text IS a feature.

How to get it: You must be on the simple rate plan (25 cent a minute). You get a balance of $60 or greater and then you call 611 and add the $60 unlimited talk/text feature. -$60 from your account and then you have it for the next 30 days.

Our store got an email this morning detailing how it works.
