Setting Roam Carrier to ARN on Serviceless Phone
Hello,
Here's a question for that I think the experts in this group should have no trouble answering. I have an older Kyocera QCP-2035 phone that used to be on Verizon. I'd like to give it away as an emergency only phone to my aunt. I was reading on http://www.emergencycellphones.com/faqs.html how this guy is able to provision American Roaming Network (ARN) as the roaming carrier so that you can make very expensive calls to AAA, etc. Can anyone empart the secret on how I can do this myself?
Also, as an AMPS carrier, do you think they'll be around for much longer or we might see their coverage area start shrinking?
