Motorola RUMORS
I have heard two different rumors....The Motorola v635 coming out on CINGULAR. and the RAZR coming without a camera. Someone from a previous forum told me that the BLACK RAZR for Cingular could not have video capture, but I know of one that does. Please help understand these rumors.

The moto side of phones has been an absolute vaccuum for new phones and rumors lately. It would make sense if there was something new on the horizon. The only official new phone I've heard of from them is the V557, which is the V551 plus PTT. The Razr's we get don't come with video capture, but it's only the software that doesn't allow it. I have seen a Razr with video capture, but that was on an employee of Motorola.

The PEBL is a T-Mobile phone. Cingular hands off, this phone. You can't have it.

mine has video enabled. all it takes is a little updating if you know how. mine is pretty heavily modded (changed outside diplay logo when flip is open, phonebook search feature, volumes turned up a bit, network select enabled, engineering mode, added new skins, video)

The v557 isn't coming for cingular... unless they change it to work with Kodiak, which will probably make them change the number yet again. True that the RAZR doesn't come with video capture, unless you purchase an unlocked one.

Unless you have a conflicting source, I can tell you that the v635 isnt coming to cingular and there will be a better version of the RAZR coming out with a better camera.

Yea the 635 isn't coming to cingular. and the new razr has a mega pix camera in it(unless i'm mistaken).
As far as new phones, moto is having a problem getting their EDGE to be stable, so they have to rework the phones to use GPRS only.
The lack of Moto phones in my store has been picked up by Samsung and Sony...

Does anyone know when the PEBL might be released, and on what carrier? I had heard Fall '05 for T-Mobile...anyone know if that's right?

I heard T-Mobile also, by the way, I think that's a very classy looking phone.

the blk razr does have vid recording, but it depends on the version. If it has edge, it has video, if it has gprs, it doesn't. Nice of them to tell us this... we figured it out on our own.

Moto has a slew of new phones coming(hopefully in time for christmas) hopefully i remembered the correct model #s.. v3x, pebl v6, slvrL7. Thats the ones I remember... there are more though.
