This is the only Data Connect wireless plan that AT&T offers however, if you have a qualifying PDA/Smartphone device then you can try tethering.

That sucks. 😢
Since I can't get 3G where I need it and can't get out of contract I was looking to downgrade to a cheaper plan.

There is a $40/mo LaptopConnect plan, but it only provides 50MB of access per month, which isn't much. Tethering a PDA or Blackberry would also cost $60/mo, but would include Internet access for the phone as well.

Zer01 is dead whoever posted that last post.

ATT $40 has 200MB.

If you don't need to keep the data part your just worried about an etf, maybe think about converting it to a cell phone on a plan that could be cheaper too

If you are already on a familytalk plan, converting to the data card into an addaline is the easiest way to avoid the ETF.
