Can anyone tell me if there have been any issues with the LG Wave? Is this a good phone? Also, how about the LG AX-275 and the Samsung Hue? 🙂

As far as I know both the LG's are good phones. Haven't heard anything about them and that is a good thing. I don't know as much about the Hue. But do not get it if you plan on tethering...

Actually both the Hue and the Rokr have data kits being released that will enable AML tethering with your phone. Should be within the next week or so. 😁

Well I know three people that have the Hue and they've setup data connections, it just disconnects all the time.

The ROKR can tether without a problem. Those data kits are a waste of 70 bucks, haha. Just buy a data cabl off ebay and find the USB driver for free...

You can just buy a generic mini usb cable? I know the drivers are easy to find, we have most of them backed up here anyways. Is it the coverage area with those Hues or do you think it's simply the phone?

Yep just a regular usb to miniusb cable, it is best to buy Moto, and those only cost a few dollars more. You could be up and tethering for 10 bucks with a cord, usb drivers, and using windows dial up connection. I do it all the time. Good speeds to, average about 400-700 kbps.

I think the problems with the Hue is phone related. But I haven't personally troubleshooted it so i can't say for 100 percent certainty. They were in EVDO coverage when it was happening and 3 bars or more....

I bought the LG Wave yesterday and loved it, except for the fact that it didn't ring when people called me! 😡 It would go straight to my voice-mail for some reason. Don't know why; wish I did. So I took it back today and exchanged it for the LG AX275, which doesn't have all the nice features the Wave did, but at least people can reach me with a ring!

That doesn't typically happen with the Wave, I would try for another one at the store if you really liked the other features. You probably just got a lemon or something wasn't setup with your phones programming right....

My daughter wants an ENV for Christmas.

Any chance Alltel will be offering a similar phone with full qwerty keyboard before Christmas.

You returned it for the 275!?!? I seriously hope you got some sort of money back because of that. I would honestly go back to the store and demand another Wave. I think this is the best phone Alltel has!! Great reception, MP3. The 275 is a cruddy phone with a VGA camera!!
LAME!! You definately had a lemon.

2 things:

A: why was the 275 in the same conv. as the hue and wave? Nowhere close to the same. You were shopping price.

B: after you got the wave, was your old phone powered on still? If it was, that may be why you didn't receive calls. If not, then you probably got a lemon.

Go back and get another wave....the 275 is horrible....there will be some people who like it but mostly they hate it. The only reason people buy it is because it's cheap. That's it.
