New PREPAID PLANS! launch date: June 10th

Anyone else hear about this? I'd like more details. I have a pamphlet from alltel indicating the new "prepaid" plans launch, which is where we're headed as a nation, (prepaids are easier to sell, obviously.) This is pretty groundbreaking, I hand it to Alltel. Too bad I still hate them for charging roaming.

Where we are headed as a nation?????

I hope you're not picking someone else over Alltel merely because they charge roaming in some small out of the way areas......

LOL at small out of the way areas....
Like the Booming Metropolis of Dallas, TX with over 1 Million residents. Where you can goto the Market Square Center right in the center of downtown Dallas and Roam on Alltel.

Its bad enough you lie to your customers at least try not to lie to yourself.

I can't believe what I'm reading.... someone actually defending alltel? good grief. they must be a pusher. that's the ONLY type of person that would REALLY defend Alltel.

They roam all over, more than "some small areas". That's why people hate them, and constantly switch to another company. You sound like our alltel rep. He's naurotic when it comes to roaming.

hey, JOIN THE REST OF THE MODERN WORLD AND STOP CHARGING ROAMING FEES! You see, if you're roaming out in the middle of nowhere, SOMEONE isn't that's with another company. Retards.

oy.

Oh come on i'm an Alltel loyalist. I've never had a reason not to be. They might have a few problems but name one carrier that doesn't.

Retards? you seem to be the one with the mental problem.

Charging roaming in a few places is not that big of a deal. Maybe it affects you, but are a minority. I'm sure Alltel will eventually remove roaming fees, but to consider them inferior for having it given their current plans and coverage is asinine. I would bet a lot of money that the majority of Alltel customers never get charged for roaming, besides billing errors. You have to remember that all cell company's charge it besides the top 4. And many of those will just neg an SID in the PRL of the phone so you CAN'T use it at all, even if you want to pay the charges just for the call. I would rather have the option.

You are funny. You must not have a car. And your bike will only get you as far as Alltel covers... which is the 8 mile radius on your neighborhood Alltel tower.

Oh so Alltel only has one tower? Funny......every where I go where Alltel has a license to run a network it is extremely good.

You are an immature juvenile that needs help and doesn't know a single thing about the wireless business.

True, I'm a alltel customer and I've traveled all through ohio, west virginia, Indania, Michigan, Northern Kentucky, and I have never had to pay for roaming.
