Unlocking NEXTEL phones
and IDEN basicly are already unlocked to go on the other IDEN provider Boost Mobile

IDeen phones will not work on Souther Linc, or Mike, AirTel, And Mexico. They need to be unlocked they are locked to Nextel and Boost Mobile. The only reason to unlock IDEN phones are if you want to switch or do prepaid on one of the providers.

Huh? iDEN Moto phones from Sprint Nextel DO work for phones in Mexico. I'm not framiliar with AirTel and Mike. South Linc should work as well.

No all IDEN phones are locked. You need to get them unlocked if you want to use them with different IDEN Carries. Example you want use a prepaid sim with Mexico.

i put a cingular SIM on a NEXTEL phone and it asks for a "special code" so i called nextel and they told me that they don't have the codes. i put the nextel SIM on my cingular phone and it picks up the network without D-C.

oh yeah the menus on the cingular phone with a nextel SIM are not the same.

Yes they do work in mexico cause Ive done it.

You can use a Boost prepaid SIM in a Nextel but you do have to have your Boost phone unlocked to use a Nextel SIM in your phone. 😳

only where IDEN coverage is will they work no matter if it is Canada, Mexico or any other country that has IDEN coverage but expect roaming charges.
