It hasn't hit the FCC yet for type acceptance (as of a few days ago).
Won't be until mid 2005, if were lucky, as I bet Motorola is attempting to stick the 1.9 GHz. band into the clamshell to take advantage of future NEXTEL spectrum.

Motorola is the manufacturer, Part 90 is the rule, dates as you want to choose from, and frequencies are 806 to 823 MHz.

i belive if nextel gets the 1.9, which seems more clearly like it will since verizon wireless isnt going against it, that it will take 1-2 years or so to retune, clear and do whatever it takes to make the spectrum available. then they have to build equipment on the cell sites etc, which takes time. so i dont think in 2005 we will see the 1.9 being used for the voice capacity. they will probably but not any time soon. i belive they will first use the 1.9ghz as a backbone for either flarion or qualcom's ev-do rel A,which is date, and then after that do a dual or tripple band wit...
