treo 700
does anyone know if tmobile will carry the treo 700. Its a shame these guys cant get it together and get a decent pda phone. If anyone has info in this let me know they could at least carry the treo 650

I was promised that TMo would get the Treo 650 when I signed up for service last February and it never happened, so I wouldn't count on the 700. It's a Verizon exclusive right now, so the wait should be long if TMo ever carries it in a GSM version...

I've been with VZN for a couple of years now and I need to go with a PDA phone. I've been looking for any excuse to join T-Mo, but who ever is in charge of new prod dev is sleeping at the switch. The sidekick is kewl and all for kids, but for business it just doesn't cut it. I'm holding out a couple of more weeks then I'll have to buy from the evil empire vzn and mortgage my car to make the payments for internet access. comon T-mo were holding our breath, but we can't wait forever.

verizon to expensive but service is great. i guess ill go look at sprint the service isnt bad and the internet is only 15 bucks and they use verizons cell towers so service is comparible. And they alsways seem to get the newest phones

Sprint does NOT use VZW towers in MOST markets. In the LA region, VZW uses the old 850Mhz band that was converted to CDMA then CDMA 2000 1XRTT. EVDO is a separate channel that the phone receives for data only.

Treo 700 is a 6 month exclusive on Verizon per the Palm and Microsoft websites.
Per the palminfocenter site...there will be 4 new Palm Treos hitting the market place in 2006

Some low-end Treo (can't remember name)
700W will eventually make it out to other carriers in 6 months (June/July Time frame)
700P will be out maybe 2Q according to rumor and other Palm-Specific websites (treocentral.com, mytreo.net)
Hollywood will be out by 3Q according to same sources

So, after the Verizon exclusive, the other Treos will be for Cingular, Sprint, and (from what I hear) another that will not be for the US?

My guess is T-Mo will carry the Moto Q before they carry the Treo 700. It was rumored at one time that T-Mo would get the exclusive on the Moto Q, but apparently VZN beat them to it.
I will probably switch to Cingular since T-Mo doesn't have much interest in the PDA market.
