I work for T-Mobile and hear all the time from customers "Why doesn't tmobile have better phones like the ones (insert wireless carrier here) has?

I mean did I miss something here? Does tmobile really have that bad of phones? Am I blinded because I work there? I mean Cingular carries the same brands we do with the exception of Sony and LG which IMO are not great phones. Verizon is the same way except for their Kyoceria (spelling?) and Audiovox line up. I just think people can never be happy!

Do you have good service/coverage on your phone? If so awesome for you. It just seems like at times customers place more value in that they can do the new cool stuff on their phone rather then having good service. I'd must rather have a phone that makes and receives calls, opposed to one that gets terrible service, but has games and movies and all that. But that is just me. This is really me trying to understand where the customer is coming from. You have no idea how much I hear this in the store.

well I understand I worked on the other side ( call center ) for 3 years. I want it all, a nokia smart phone that does everything and great coverage. but I live in a big city and rarely travel so I would probably get great coverage with any carrier.

You could have used a Nokia 6682 with T-Mobile. You could have bought one unlocked, or locked and had T-Mobile unlock it for you. You can have a different phone unlocked for every line on your acct every 90 days.

No, tmobile's phone selection isn't bad. The entire industries phone selection, service, etc, is just plain bad.
