VZW to T-Mo...?

So, I knew this day would eventually come...VZW is just becoming too expensive for the little features they offer with their plans, and now that they will be tethering their data plans and doing away with Unlimited, i'm done with them. I know a few people with T-Mo and they have no problems with it. So i guess my question is, how many have you left VZW for T-Mo? And are you happy with T-Mo? I'm gonna get the Nokia E73 Mode, which also lets you connect a call through wi-fi if there isn't much network reception around, which i think is a great idea.

i tried T-Mo twice before but didn't have much reception where i lived...I've recently moved so now the reception in my home area is pretty strong. That's why i'm hoping 3rd time is the charm :...

I was with Verizon for 15 years and finally left them for the same reasons that you mentioned. I ended up working for them and have been very pleased with the service that I've received for the most part. The pricing on plans tends to be about $30 less than I paid at VZ.

I'm personnally not a big fan of the Nokia Mode but some people like it and you're correct that any wi-fi enabled phone will benefit you in a low reception area. My favorite choice for you based on what you mentioned would be the G2 based on the incredible advantages of being an HSPA+ enabled phone.

I hope you enjoy the service.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I looked into the G2 but i think i will try the Nokia first. Good things is, i have 2 weeks to test out that phone. if i don't like it then i will switch to the G2.

Thanks again - i appreciate it!!

I too left Verizon after nearly 11 yrs with thier high price and low service offerings. I lastly had the original Droid which was a great phone that verizon charged me 199 for. I went of to Tmobile they offered me a very comprable phone the Motorola Charm for free. I was a great choice as it packs in the best of droid with the best of a quick messaging phone. Their service and options far surpass verizon. I just wish Tmobile unlimited plan were cheaper 100 bucks is steap. It would be best if the had a plan like sprints unlimited data plus any mobile any time plan for 69.99 I would be in heaven. But Tmobile by far is the best company out there.

Thanks for the feedback, Voyager1. I'm asking around to other people as well but I'm definitely appreciating any and all feedback on here. I'm definitely going to them within the next week or two...just need a full night to myself to configure the phone, etc.

Thanks again!

I also work for T-mobile and have been a TMO customer for a couple years now. I love the service. I mean every company is gonna have issues but comparatively TMO is by far the best hands down. I would recommend calling in to Telesales as they can get you a way better deal on a phone 9 times out of 10.

And another cool little tidbit about Wi-Fi Calling is that it doesnt use your anytime minutes when using that feature.

Hey TMO-MAN...thanks for the input...it's definitely good to know about the wi-fi calling. Question, since i'll obviously be getting the $30 unlimited data plan, switching to wi-fi on calls won't affect my bill then correct? just making sure all my bases are covered.

Thanks for letting me know your experience with T-Mo as well...all of this input helps!
