My verizon contract is up and im goin to tmobile, my question is can i activate my g1 now and when the new g2 comes out in october can i get it at the new 2 year price?

dont think so, verizon is CDMA and tmobile is GSM, 2 diff networks

You would be able to activate the account with your G1, however your contract would start the day you activated your account. If you tried to upgrade after that it would reflect that you had signed a new two year contract and were not eligable for an upgrade. As the account ages your eligibility will go up to a partial discount but you wouldn't get the full discount until your contract was almost over. I believe at twenty-two months is when you again would be eligable for the full discount.
In short I would not recommend doing that.

No, you must use the 2 year discount at the time of activation. Your next full discount isn't until 22 months later. If you want the G2, just be a LITTLE patient, its only a few weeks away.
