What the Hell is going with T-MOBILE?

I call and call I get representatives in some other country even if I ask for customer loyalty I was promised a phone for a certain price and I go charged double the NON ENGLISH SPEAKING REP told me yes I see the notes on the account but I am not going to honor what customer loyalty placed in the remarks.

WTF

and when I call tmobile and state supervisor I get transfer to India or some other crap country.

Why do you need to speak to Customer Loyalty? Why not pay what you should be paying for a phone? Feel lucky you are even getting a discount on your phone on top of your low monthly bill. We don't have a call center in India, that being said. T-mobile is diverse, so you could perhaps just maybe get an American with an accent. Welcome to America... Prices are always subject to change. So if you didn't take the customer loyalty rep's offer its no longer on the table after that call.

Oh, and the Sivr system doesn't have a "supervisor" or a customer loyalty option so thats why you may be being transfered to somewhere else because it might think you are saying something different. If you had my guess 85-90% of the standard customer service ...

I definitely know what you mean because I called into tmo about three days ago and they told me that I was eligible for an upgrade on my line. Then I called back and spoke with another representative about how much the internet would cost for the hd2. Then I went to walmart to do my upgrade because they were charging 50.00 opposed to tmo corp store charging 200.00 with a 50.00 mir. So I opted to do my upgrade at walmart. When I get there they tell me that I am not eligible. So, I call t-mobile and they tell me WELL YOU ARE ELIGIBLE BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE AT A CORPORATE TMO STORE. As any consumer I asked what about the 150.00 difference in price. They basically in no uncertain terms told me to suck it up or do not buy the phone. I have 4 lines...

QQ some more because corporate won't match a dealer. Sprint won't match Walmart's pricing either. Go QQ on their forums now. And T-Mobile doesn't have any international representatives for postpaid. The only time you get any center outside of the US is if you have FlexPay, then you MIGHT get a center in the Philippines. Sprint has centers in India, so good luck and good riddance!
And I can tell from your story that T-Mobile care was going to approve an EARLY upgrade for you. If you were actually eligible then Walmart would have been able to do it, however they can not give you the full discount if you're not at your 22 month eligibility period, which I can tell you were not. You were QQing over a company offering you a full discount when yo...

I moved into management now, so I don't have any personal goals. My store had a goal of 24 and we did 67... so yeah, we rocked our goal. It was SICK!!! One of my reps did 19 postpaid activations on his own..... we had several stores in the area break into triple digits.....

My friend here did 57 and he didn't do as well as some of his coworkers. I'd like to see something similar to this sale every year. That'd be pretty awesome.. Minus the calling into customer care and demanding loyalty so you can get a upgrade.. I hate that crap. My reps' transfer rate was off the chart because of all the whiny customers.

Yeah, TMoNews.com posted an article on Saturday that Loyalty was offering all phones free to eligible existing customers for that one day. I bet that increased the volume a good chunk.

Hehe, a few customers have called me today saying that they'll cancel if they can't get the Evo free since T-Mobile is giving away all of their phones. Then I tell them that sale was one-day only and already over, and they freak out, call me a liar, and say they will go and talk to T-Mobile about that.

Sorry for driving angry customers your way, guys.

22 month eligibility?!?! Guess US Cellular spoils people with an 18 month renewal eligibility. Thought that was across the board in the industry.

.....oh and Sprint CS does suck.

Actually Sprint upgrades are anually for primary line on the account and there customer service has improved dramatically and I get someone in America everytime I call customer service. But a friend of mine who now wants to switch to Sprint called customer service 3 times in a row and got someone overseas and could not answer any of his questions with out a long pause and saying uhhh he was so fustrated with tmobile after the 3rd call he just hung up! All I could do was laugh and now he is stuck with tmobile till his contract is up!

Good to know about Sprint's annual renewal program. And I will agree with ya on the CS bit. It has improved, at least they don't have lawsuits against them now. Though I wouldn't put Sprint's CS up there with Tmobile yet.

Tmobile has to have the best CS because there store fronts suck a$$ and resemble flea markets. I walked in one yesterday to look at the vibrant and man there was dummy phones everywhere and they kept trying to sell me a phone before I even got to try using it. T-mobile knows there customer will have to call in a lot more then the other carriers so there customer service has to be the best. But the people I know with tmobile say there CS is horrible.

I think it is funny... that tmosucks3 has T-Mobile service even though they work for AT&T. And since they work for AT&T, they should know how the upgrade system works. You get a full discount after a certain amount of time. If customer care was allowing you to do it early, then you can do it through them or a corporate store. You can't go into an indirect dealer to get it done. I work for T-Mobile now, and I used to work for AT&T. AT&T worked it like that the same way. The only difference is T-Mobile offers way more early upgrades than AT&T.

It is really sad to see who responds to these posts. In all reality if you guys have not figured this out yet store reps/ customer care representatives...etc. You are getting paid from people like myself paying our bill monthly. If you guys agree with policy so be it however at times policy must flex in order to retain the customers that you already have. If you haven't figured this out then your jobs will not last long.

That's not what's happening. You expect companies to flex to what you want, and your expectations are retarded. Someone like you will not be happy with Sprint either, so you will jump ship again thinking the grass is always greener. Customers like you are the customers no company wants because you're unreasonable. T-Mobile already has one of the most reasonable and flexible policies when it comes to upgrades, and you are jumping ship to the company that is the least reasonable, least flexible, and with the worst rated customer care. Good luck! I'm sure you will do the same thing to them when they won't give you what you unreasonably want!

tmosucks3 is the kind of customer who's been on the tit of free phones for far too long. Wake up you idiot! Pay full price for your phone and go contract free. Then you can feel free to switch carriers until your heart is content.

Wow u obviously are not talking about Sprint they make t-mobile look like a prepaid carrier in so many ways. What do u mean by least reasonable Sprint has better plans and pricing then tmo and Sprint keeps your phone on longer than tmobile does when you dont pay your bill so you dont know what your talking about. And Sprints upgrade program is way better than tmobiles. So you sir are very missinformed and need to do some research.

Thats odd...

I'll bet if T-Mobile asked you to pay extra one month for no reason at all other than we might want some extra cash you would be unwilling to pay it.

In fact, if T-Mobile asked you to wait an extra 6 months for your upgrade I'm sure you'd flip out pointing at the contract screaming that they weren't doing what they said they would.

Case and point, you want T-Mobile to give you a phone before they agreed they would give you one. You feel entitled to this new phone even though you've only had your current phone for what, 1 year tops?

Why should T-Mobile bend for you when you are unwilling to bend for them?

Store reps are not paid by you paying your bill monthly. They are paid based off of commission from sales. that "I pay your bills" bs is pointless. it will make reps help you less because it makes you sound like an arrogant prick

And flexing policy to keep customers happy ONLY works if that customer remains profitable. This DOES NOT WORK if the customer only fills 1 year of the 2 year agreement.

A customer that costs you money is not a customer worth keeping.

Oh, and before you write off what I say, I am not, nor have I ever been, employed by Tmobile or any of its retailers.

You were "eligible" for early upgrades, Wal-mart does not do them because T-Mobile was cutting you a break NOT screwing you.

Yes, you need to learn math. Go troll on Sprint's forums. Anybody with basic math skills can figure out that T-Mobile is cheaper than Sprint, and anybody with half a brain will realize how horrible the customer service is at Sprint. Good customer service within a company is a culture, and Sprint just doesn't have it. So sorry.

It sounds like you got an override for your phone discount. Third party resellers of the service can price phones at their discretion and sometimes it can be better than the corporate store. It sounds like you should have gone into a store to speak with a person to walk through to figure it out.

Now my sarcasm: I do hope companies go out of business everytime a customer doesn't understand something. I wonder how many would be left...

When T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon offer an early upgrade it is only honored in corporate stores. As a national retail store manager it can be a bit frustrating but it is a fact of life in the industry. For that HD2 your choice is to go to WalMart and pay 499.00 for the phone or half of that at a corporate store. None of these carriers bend for dealers.
With Sprint it is different because they offer a half upgrade after 12 months or a full upgrade if you are a VIP customer.

Playing the game of "you didn't give me what I wanted so I am leaving" makes your business less valuable to any carrier.
Severing a business tie for $100.00 price of a phone and then paying $126.00 of activation fees, disconnect fees as well as prorated service charge...
