These 2 phones are similar but the Pulse runs Android and the Tap doesn't. For the price point it would have been great to have a phone that comes in at a lower price than say the Eris but TMo in my opinion dropped the ball on this one buy not getting android on this phone.
If anyone has seen the video for the Pulse you'd probably agree.

I've tried to post a video of the pulse but I guess this site doesn't allow it. Oh well, there's an unboxing on youtube, check it out.

They only look alike. The Pulse has some good hardware behind it, the Tap does not. It is a basic, basic, BASIC touchscreen phone. I don't like it at all, although at $179 w/ no contract its probably one of the most feature rich phones at that price point, but I'd spend the extra for a BB or Android device if it was me...

I agree. I'm not a fan of this, but if i were 15 and wanted a touch screen i'd probably be happy with that over a gravity lol. 🤣

These phones service a very diff market and demand. The Tap is a cute touch screen but most important it is phone 1st, not a smart phone, therefore a data plan is not required and if you want one it's Web2Go for $10.00 not a full smart phone plan for $30.00. Targeted at a very different users. Form factor may be similiar but it's what's on the inside.
