Does anyone know if TMobile is coming out with any new 3G devices, specifically a 3G version of the Blackberry 8900?

Yup. Tons of new 3g devices. BB "8900" doubtful.

We are suppose to get a 3G Bberry second quarter from what I've heard. Most likely it will be a brand new device that no one has seen yet and will probably have UMA and 3G.

Don't see the 3G and the UMA happening on the same device.

Unless BB provides a super duty Li-Ion battery, it shouldn't happen. Too much power consumption.

I'm sure we(users) would like to see 3G BB before another UMA BB.

With T-Mo offering a reasonably priced unlimited plan, I don't see the need for UMA phone unless your residence or office has poor reception.

Bring on the 3G phones.

Totally agree that 3G would be a better choice. With the new plan it makes UMA not so attractive. I do not get an echo in my UMA as I do a lot on the cell tower. I get just as good of a connection at home and at the office off the tower as I do on UMA. I am in Dallas. One place it did work was when I traveled to Georgia I did not have coverage. Knowing that before I left I brought my router and had great coverage at their home.

Still trying to decide between the G1 and the new BB.

Well one of the reasons why there hasn't been one yet is because of the power consumption. From what I was told they have been working on the phone for sometime. They supposedly got the power consumption to a good level.

Plus UMA isn't just unl calls it also helps with reception so it could be good for people even with unlimited plans.

Agreed that UMA is helpful with reception. I incorporate it at my residence until we switch our plan to unlimited.

Power consumption on a Bold has been hit or miss. Too many "insiders" gave conflicting reports of battery life that I personally ask anyone I see with a Bold about their experience. Some say expect the same as a Iphone, some can't make it through a day.

With the Curve I carry, I would like to have the same consistency offered in a 3G Berry. If I have to do without UMA, so be it. If BB can pull off both, more reason to accept the offering.

Why does my behold run so much slower in a non 3G area compared to a G1 in a non 3G area?

Processing power and the way that data is compressed from phone to phone. The G1 is faster on EDGE than a Behold and faster on 3G as well.

Because the browser on the behold is craptastic.
