Blackberry Storm Coming to Tmobile

I heard from a very reliable manager at a Tmobile Direct store that the Storm will be coming out on Tmobile in February. No, he is not talking about the 8900 which will be out on Feb. 11.

Can anyone else confirm this. My main question is it going to be 3G or just Edge w/wifi like the 8900??

I dont think that is correct because Verizon and Vodaphone have exclusive outright on the device from what I read late last year.

definitely incorrect information.
that manager may have meant February 2010, considering Blackberry is hoping to bring more touchscreen to different providers by next year.

It sounded like incorrect info to me also. Although he did say next month not 2010. Not sure where he is getting his info from but I am sure there is alot of mis-information out there.

Yeah that's not true. And I'm praying to God we don't get it considering all the issues its had. I've had several customers leave me for Verizon because of the Storm, and all of them ported their numbers right back to T-Mobile.
I usually love Blackberry, but that phone was RUSHED.

I have a Storm which I am using on TMobile and it works great! The new software version made all the difference. My only complaint is the Edge internet is very slow. I have been tempted to switch to Verizon for faster speeds.

Umm... the Storm is not quad band GSM, its dual band GSM for international roaming. There is no way you are using it on T-Mobile's network. If you've found a crazy hack to somehow magically make CDMA phones work on GSM networks, please share!

Smylax - disbelievers are non-receivers but I will give you the info anyway.

Here is the link to how you can setup an unlocked Storm to work on T-mobile. BTW, it works very well if you follow the instructions.

Interesting.
Not that I would, but its cool that you could. Guessing that's a first for a CDMA Blackberry!
Now RIM just needs to roll out a couple more firmware updates and the Storm may be worthwhile.

You are wrong. The Storm is Quad-band GSM enabled. It is only CDMA Dual-band for 3G here. You can unlock the phone and use it with T-Mobile EDGE. You might be confused with the Blackberry 8830 World phone, where it has international 900/1800MHz for Dual-band GSM support.
