Consumers deserve better! (rather long rant)
Apple did one thing right and that's come out with a device that people want and folks paid an arm and a leg for the 1st gen iphone; now that should have been a good indicator that the consumer will pay for a device that has the features they want. As for T-Mo, all I can say is kick it up a notch already. The E63 would be a good device for T-mo (just look on the British T-Mo site and you'll see a bunch of nice phones) The Behold is not that great IMO and I'll be patiently waiting fo...

It seems as consumers need to take a stand. As soon as a new touchscreen device hits the market it's labeled an "iphone" killer. Now I'm guilty of jumping on this bandwagon but after reading a whole bunch of reviews on various webistes enough is enough already.

Hope your experience with At&t is better than mine has been.
Stay away. You'll be sorry. Good phones without a good network are just good phones.

I'd personally rather have a high end device that needs some tweeking then be with a company who's customer service doesn't serve customers and who offers rollover minutes, that your most likely not going to use anyway, and then taxes you on them (yup. they tax you on rollover minutes. look at a current customers bill) Hardware can always be fixed. Company quality is another story.
How ironic for a T-Mobile fanboy to say this......
Seriously, T-Mobile doesn't have a clue as to how to troubleshooting the issues with its one and only high end phone (talking about the g(arbage)1). They can commit to the end of time to a customer that their issue will be fixed within a certain time window b...

Verizon and Sprint have the most broad coverage, but you don't get clear calls. AT&T and T-Mobile with GSM we have the conveinence of the SIM, but with the result of higher theft.
I have many friends that work for coporate Verizon and have T-Mobile service because the call quality is better. AT&T workers have T-Moblie service cause it's more realiable (Minneapolis Market).
T-Mobile is still SMALL comapred to the others. Concept stores are coming and being tested, i.e. LIVE webcam tech support, in-store warranty exchane, intallment payment plans for prod...

@sunilsonia, yes yes I think you made your point with all your whining and complaining about how you didn't get your update when you wanted it. And if you were informed about what the actual update was and how these things work you would know the updates had nothing to do with your cell signal.

Who is calling the G1 an iphone killer? The only people saying the G1 is going to be an iphone killer are customers like yourself and people reviewing the phone. T-mobile has never claimed the G1 was an iphone killer.

@Tmo Slave,
I will quote here word for frikkin' word what the stupid reps at T-Mobile relayed to me in coversation. "The firmware upgrade will, amongst other things, fix connec...

At&t's 3G is not any faster than T-mobiles. Check out cnet, they did a speed test with the iphone and the G1 and the G1 loaded the webpage 10 secs faster than the iphone. But have fun over at at&t.
The Speed Test bit is all fine and dandy but you are forgetting that in a lot of places where T-Mobile has 3G, it does not ALWAYS Connect. Better yet, it disconnects more often than it can even regain the lost connectivity once back in a T-Mobile 3G network area of coverage. IMHO, T-Mobile SHOULD NOT even been advertising it's 3G availability in the markets that current have 3G coverage because they are having numerous problems with it. All it seems to be doing is pissing off current T-Mobil...

Don't get your hopes up too much. AT&T has plenty of issues with it's 3G coverage as well. Hopefully nothing ever goes wrong with your service because it's great to you now but once they have you under contract AT&T could care less about your quality of service. This coming from a guy who used to work for them.
Good argument. Here's my reply.....
1. I can MAKE (YES, MAKE) phone calls on a "3G Network" that "AT&T" currently has in an area where "T-Mobile's" current "3G Network" is biting the big one. Doesn't sound like service issue to me on AT&T but rather a BIG one for the guys in Pink. Heck, from conversation with T-mobile many of them are not willing to side with teh fact that th...
