what are the uses for the Tmob Hot Spot

With talk forever mobile you can make unlimited phone calls from an open WiFi source. You also have the ability to have reception even in areas of poor coverage. So if you're out in the sticks, but have internet and a router then you're good to go.

Are you talking about HotSpot or Hope Spot @Home / talk forever mobile?

Hot Spot is what you would use in a Starbucks, Borders, Many Airports, etc for Internet connection on a T1 line (or better)

Hot Spot at home is different and that is where you can pay $9.99 a month to have free calling when you are on any WiFi network. You also have to have one of the @Home handsets to take advantage of this service.

I wish they had called Hotspot@Home something different. As it is, it makes things confusing.

I agree.. thats why they are trying to call it "Talk Forever Mobile" now...

whatever they call it, it's an awesome feature, I can now call from my office in my basement. I'll call it whatever they want to as long as my phone keeps working, lol.

atually, they aren't even calling it that now. they've gone through many names, but now the official (final) name for the wifi calling is Hotspot@Home and the new hotspot 2 with landlines is called T-Mobile@Home.
