I'm thinking about quiting my current job with VZW and getting a job with an different carrier. I'm wondering realistically how much an average sales rep in T-mobile corporate store makes a year. I really hate Verizon but can't really afford to take an pay cut but i don't think i can take it anymore.

T-Mobile in this area is definitely a pay cut from Verizon. I don't believe I could positively sell Verizon service though, so even with less pay I personally will have to stick it out here. What market are you in could make a big difference too though.

It depends on the market you go to and the team you have.

they have two different types of commission structures, one more team based and the other individual like normal.

for me, if 4k a month is a pay cut for you, i think i'd stick around at verizon. If not, working for t-mobile is amazing. great benefits, 401k is really good, i could go on for a while.

check it out

comapred to a couple years ago, pay SUCKS. Commission is sooooo much different from what it used to be. we used to be able to clear 3-4k a month on comm easy, now with the same amount of acts, ups, etc, your lucky to clear 1500. most of the differences come from spiffs for phones, it takes nothing less than a curve or a wing to make the max $14 spiff, just about everything else will get you 9, and at least 50% of the phones have NO SPIFF. so yeah, enough bitchin for me

you know it really depends on your market and store. from what i heard i make less then verizon reps. but i work at a really slow traffic low activation store. we are team based commission here, with a individual compenent and it works pretty well. the benifits are great though. i guess if your really worried about a pay cut make sure you are in a high volume store
