flexpay
how does this work? can you be under 18 to get it? i know a couple of people who have done it but when i went to t-mobile they said i have to be 18. can somebody tell me about this?
...
you have to be over 18, because it requires you to sign a contract.
even if you went month to month, i think you still have to be 18.
basically, you pay more for the phone, and you pay your first month's bill upfront with cash.
Voice plan + add on's (texting) + 4.99 control charge.
if you sign up with easy pay, it deducts the next month's bill off your credit card, and gets rid of the 4.99 a month control charge.
you can't go over minutes, because you'll be shut off before you do that.
it's actually a WAY sweet deal. No huge deposits.

You can be unde 18 to get a flex pay but they can not run a credit check. It is going to be an automatic month to month contract. Which means full price for phone inless you bring a tmobile phone in with you.
...
or buy a prepaid t-mo phone. sams club will sign you up for 34.89 + tax. it's a nokia bar phone. that'll tide you over till you can afford a decent phone.
i kinda wanna flexpay iPhone.

you HAVE to be 18 or older to sign any contract, whether it be a 2 year contract or a month to month contract.
the only way you can get service is prepaid, because there is no contract involved with that.
...
actually you have to provide a birth date on a valid state issued id even for prepaid, so unless you can find someone willing to fudge the date, gotta bring the folks
...
that is true, but the prepaid setup system is a lot different from the postpaid/flexpay system. It only asks for the customers first and last name, and date of birth. I know a lot of reps that will make up the date of birth. (Not I though)
Your chances of getting a cell phone through prepaid is higher than on flexpay is what i'm getting at.
