Leaving this forum and never coming back >>

Jan 3, 2008, 4:04 PM
I just want all of you to know that I will be leaving Phonescoop. I am so tired of all these idiots being so quick to belittle someone for their post when they are just trying to help someone out.

Recently I replied to a poster that hadn't gotten a response to his question.... so I took the 2 mins to answer it the best I could. Then in the matter of 8 hours there were all kinds of posts to talking S&^%, nevermind providing good info.

I guess I will take my relevant info somewhere else..... you know like the info on how to hack a smartphone for skype before anyone else could. Then I took the time to do a write up and even hosted the files for people.... or how I still get emails 3 years later asking for the firmware to make a TMO a630 i...

Isn't it a trip!? No one cared to comment and help the user out that asked the question but didnt hesitate to throw you under the bus for your response. Sad but sounds right. Perhaps we should include disclaimers on our responses to curve the jerk factor. Best wishes to ya!

read it and weep

don't go away made just go away! Jk

Really I think your post is a tad on the silly side, you've helped ppl and are a useful member of the this forum then you should continue on. You got to take the good with the bad in life, just ignore the irrelevant comments, and help the ones that appreciate it.

I happen to agree with cellenator for I think the first time? Laughing Laughing Laughing

He is right this is a forum you going to take it personally? Let the idiots be idiots and you help were you can.

I agree but to the defense of the jerks on these forums, I think it frustrates any reasonably well informed person here when people ask questions like "how can I make the iPhone work for Sprint". Its hard to dignify questions like these with a serious answer. Especially when its posted almost daily. Still, no one should bag on people for trying to help out the uninformed.

It's not hard at all to answer any question on this forum with a serious answer......

These reasonably informed jerks need to remember that they were not born with this information. They had to research it and ask questions (as novice as they may be), when they first learned about the cellular world.

One of the main points of this website is to inform and teach people about the technology.
Not blast them when they ask a novice question.

Just my 2 cents....

(I guess I will stay) =)

but on the other hand which I think is more the case you have people that are informed planting dumb questions to waste peoples time. They get a smart ass answer from me. Like how do I register on X carriers website. Go to the website! Who has the best plans. Go to their websites. The internet lest even the dumbest of people find what they want. And if you cant research something you want to buy on your own then you have no business buying it!

I can understand your viewpoint....

It just sucks that people would do things like that.... becuase then how do you know it isn't someone who just has a question rather than a troll?....besides the obvious...

It just hurts this forum overall....

oh well....

(i dont want to get in trouble) (my phone works well for what i need on teh internet)

PS recently changed cookies policy, that the login only keeps as long as the browser is on, this can enough to keep some bastards out (like that 777)
too bad the forum does not have ignore option, and mod does not have enough time to take care
