t mobile vs at&t

ok, so i have had at&t for a long while, and after so many years i thought it would be best to try a new service provider, so towards the end of august of this year i switched to t mobile on a my faves 69.99 family plan. and no offence to at&t customers but t mobile's customer care kills at&ts. they are friendlier and they are nicer and they fix problems a lot better, but one thing that was better about at&t than t mobile is that thier phones are a lot cheaper than t mobile's and they have cingular music and cingular tv. and i had that on my smasung sync where i could watch clips of tv and download full songs. now on t mobile motorola v3t, i am upset that it costs 2.49 per ringtone, and the ones i buy are only around 15 seconds long. so that...

T-mobile will be expanding the beginning of 2008. With the purchase of Suncom will come lots of improvements. I would definitely suggest that you wait until the beginning of the year before making a decision. However, remember: sometimes the customer care is the most important aspect of a wireless provider. I wouldn't suggest going back to at&t - T-mobile is far more superior. Good Luck!

here are a few suggestions, take them for what you will:
1) buy a usb bluetooth dongle for your computer and then you can send full songs to your phone at no cost
2) once you have full songs, they can be used to play on the mp3 player or as a ringtone on the v3t
3) the tv clips wont be available to you in the near future but if thats not the most important feature then i would never return to at&t!!

also the 3 lines each have a 2 year contract, they aren't added together so its just 2 years from the start date of each phone not 6 years.

i hope that helps!

With the purchase of Suncom won’t really help to expand that much because it is just in the areas in which Suncom’s coverage and capacity. The real expansion is of the 3G winnings, and expanding in the coverage and capacity.

I disagree that T-mobile is far more superior. They have a lot of work to do before becoming on the same par as AT&T let alone superior.

I think Stacy was referreing to their customer services...,

which i totally agree with.

But we all look forward to the competition T-mo will bring to the table when 3G is rolled out.

She wasn’t quite clear to me because she was a bit vague. Regardless, if that is what she meant about T-mobile’s customer care is better than AT&T’s I agree 100%.

I do not know? I wanted to get a black berry curve So I got it through AT&T, cause I figured they may have better coverage, I looked at both at&t and t-mobile coverage maps, it kinda looked like AT&T had slightly better coverage, so I went with them. But I went to my friends house Clearly in a good coverage area according to the map, no signal, my friend has t-mobile, works fine, and this is not the only place in a major metro area, Scottsdale phoenix Arizona. Also their was some static on the phone. So I am getting the curve from t-mobile this weekend and I will let everyone know which in my opinion which one works better, besides I think it would be better to have wi-fi on the phone?

I wouldn’t look at the coverage maps because sometimes they are either wrong or misleading. Obviously, you know that they have clauses when they say their coverage maps. If you want true experience, you find out how many towers in that area but more importantly experience it for yourself. That UMA service allows for better in-door coverage, which is great since companies who have 1.9 and in those higher GHz have many issues when it comes to in-door. I would say go to that service. the Curve on UMA was a great idea. I think it would be great to have WIFI on the phone, but the problem is, the battery life will be shot and if there is a WIFI network in your area then your fine, however, if not you are basically using a device that can only...

Well I wouldn’t switch because you will be incurring some great costs. If your service is working fine, no point of leaving. T-mobile should have their 3G up and running very shortly and be nationwide by 2009. I don’t think we can make a decision for you but you just have to think of the pros and cons of the situation.
