Why wont t-mobile work with treo??
the last i remember they were selling the 600's and they also have support for the 650 and the 680. but the only pda they have is the mda with it crappy 200mhz processor. i remember hearing about another version but that disappear also.... any update on t-mobile having another pda/smartphone beside the mda, dash, and the sidekick?

tmobile also has the blackberry pearl. if i was you i would try and get a cingular 8525 unlocked. windows mobile, 500 processor its got alot but they are pricy

the pearl is a little too smal for my hands and i have a sidekick now. so i got a to used to qwerty keyboard and dont want to go back.
i just called t-mobile and they wouldnt move with the price of the mda. im might call back threatin to close my account to see what happens

While its just "educated speculation" they should be replacing the MDA sometime this year.

yeah i heard of this rumor as well but i havent been able to find any information on it. I was considering just getting the mda but it's 249.

Pretty much any new phone with full Windows Mobile (eg not Smart Phone Edition) is going to be in that price range.

The 600 left a bad taste in their mouth for Palm products. At first the 650 wasn't much better - then Palm improved the OS with a series of patches.
I currently use a Treo 680 on T-Mo. You'll pay more for an unlocked Treo, but you'll make up for the cost in service fees in the long run. Cingular will sell you a 680 for $199, but you have to sign-up for their over-priced data plan.

cool thanks for the info. I was actually looking for to getting the treo 750 unlocked because i dont really like the Palm OS. But now that i heard about the dash update. i think i might wait a while. But im still decided whether or not i want a smartphone or a pocket pc. T-Mobile wont move with the price on the MDA even if i threaten to can all they can do is remove the mail in rebate.

I wouldnt pick up the MDA right now. The MDA2 has been pushed back a couple months as it was supposed to launch Q1, but it will still be out soon and its much better than the first MDA. It only has a 200mhz processor, yet as most tech savy people know, frequency does not equal value. The 200mhz processor in the MDA2 is said to rival most other 500mhz in overall speed. While its not as high in frequency its a much more efficent processor. Its kinda like AMD to Intel.
