Blackjack is no Ace
I haven't been this excited about a phone release for some time. Once again, I cant understand why.
The Cingular Blackblack falls short of expectations.
3G data speeds are horrid. My 3125 and Nokia E62 on EDGE blow away the Blackjack on supposed 3G. After using the LG & SYNC data, I thought this could be the 'one'. Nope!
If it's email and the form factor you are after, this one could be for you. If you want speed and ease of use, go for the Nokia E62. Once you get passed the Symbian OS, it's a peach.

As per: http://www.prnewswire.com/mnr/cingular/26058/
it is both 3G & EDGE

In which market are you testing it for 3G speeds?

I just got this little gem and I'm in North New Jersey - NYC market. I get 3G all over town and obviously in the city. I'm VERY happy with the speed and the reception is much better than my V3i.

I was deciding between the Blackjack or an 8525. More expensive, but went with the 8525. 3G is VERY fast (Orlando/Central Florida). This unit is much better then my HP 6515, one of the reasons I didn't get the BJ was because it also looked 'calculatorish' up to your ear, just like the HP.

"calculatorish"... lol.
At work, we call them (blackberrys, HP, blackjack, e62, etc) drink coasters.

If only TI had gotten in on this back in the day.
