It's 18 months in the Washington-Baltimore Market for MRC under $75. Above $75, it's 12 months.

In most markets, it is 21 of 24 months into a 2 year agreement. This does differ in some markets and there are exceptions. Sometimes, the primary line on a family talk plan will be eligable a month or so before the other lines on the account. We also have early upgrades if you are at least 6 months into your contract with $75 revenue on the upgraded line.

Rate on line? ... hmmmm.

Every dollar that I send to Cingular is for a phone line that carries voice, data, text, etc. I also spend a few bucks on special Int'l calling plans, but seems to me that my entire monthly bill relates to "line revenue." Are upgrade metrics judged solely on the revenue from voice minutes?

But a customer with a data plan uses his phone for many more hours per month. By virtue of those extra service hours, the Company earns more money and the "upgrade target" (the phone) should need upgrading sooner, eh?

Voice, data, text, all of that counts to MRC except for taxes and fees. So if your service plan is $39.99, but have the unlimited PDA connect with 1000 messages your MRC is $89.98.
