You are righ to be weary, since unlocked have no warranty through cingular, which means if you have a issue you deal with the man. and you send it to them, and cingular does not with it.Think all that hassle is worth saving a few bucks in advance?

go to wal-mart or the cingy store and purchase the phone outright. and get the go phone plan set up.
