I live in San Luis Obispo, CA and I have an old Siemens A56 with cingular. A lot of times I don't get any reception indoors and I'm hoping getting a new phone with good reception can help. Any suggestions for phones with the best reception?

The Nokia 6010 is a good basic phone with very good reception. I have both the 6010 and 3120, and our 6010 sounds better to us. The negatives are no speakerphone and no int'l roaming.

And this is only a phone suggestion. If the network has issues you might consider a carrier change. Ask your neighbors what carrier is working for them.

I have often found Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones to be the tops when it comes reception. I currently use an SE phone and I rarely ever go below 4 of 5 bars. Even when the signal strenth is low, Sony Ericssons can connect and hold onto a call quite well. Same goes for Nokias.
