i just got a new cingular plan and left US cellular. i got a Audiovox 5600, i love the phone but i dont get the greatest service, i drop a lot of calls. on the map it shows that i should get service here, and i do but not all that great, well this is IOWA!!! what should i expect, oh well i love my phone who cares if i cant talk on it, haha.

If you do not live in a major city in Iowa good luck. At this point GSM service in Iowa is very spotty.

Because, reception is the most important thing about your cell phone. I am currently on verizon, and I dont want to say who is better or that crap but Verizon is NOT good in my area. I have several friends on cingular, and they get full service nearly everywhere in my area, and im trying to start one of those "...is king" annoying threads but considering i'm going against my own phone company, its probably ok 😉 .
I can tell you from experience, if you can't get reception in your house, It is VERY bad. If i walk anywhere away from my windows, i drop the call, and even if i stick my head out the windows of my house, i might even drop the call. It gets very annoying!

why change carriers there are other things you can do.... like a manual network selection and just change you Audiovox over to another cell site that is probually closer to you -- your all idiot's

I would be switching to Verizon before it's too late. Hopefully you can still get out of the contract and switch, that is if you want good service, if you just want a cool phone stay where you are at.
