My dad has the Samsung SGH-V205 for tmobile and would maybe like to switch to razr, the only problem is that he does not want to lose his contacts (he knows that he will be able to retrieve all numbers but wont have the type of phone ie:mobile, home, etc)...can he retrieve his number from his tmobile sim...also is there any better way to do this, maybe sync up with outlook..please help, thanks

syncing up with outlook would be the best option. Is he getting the T-Mobile Razr or switching to Cingular? The Cingy version is locked so he couldn't simply pop in his SIM and copy the numbers onto it, but on the T-Mobile version you could since they're the same company. If he is getting the Cingular one, then have him pull the numbers off his outlook.

You could also try picking up a SIM card copier. I picked one up in England for about $30 US and it's been invaluable.

Is a sim car ones that drives on that cool computer game?

Maybe you should ask the question on the T-Mobile forum (unless he is switching or something).

The RAZR can sync with Outlook for contacts if you buy Motorola phone tools. That is the best way I have seen.

most Sony Ericsson phones can sync with outlook too. The software is free. In the case of the Z500 you have to buy the usb data cable(no bluetooth) but they are like $10 on ebay plus it charges the phone at the same time. I think higher end nokias have this capability too.
