Seriously considering AT&T

Currently, I am in lower Alabama with Verizon, however I am planning a move soon and I am considering porting my three lines or at a minimum two of them to AT&T. The one issue that I have is Google Voice. It is going to be tough to give up the GV/Friends and Family play, but I am pretty close. I guess I will be stalking this forum in the meanwhile.

Glad I'm not alone. I bounce around between carries, luckily I live in an area covered well by all. And I'm not brand loyal. So I've been rolling with a VZW Moto Droid but I couldn't pass up the free BB Bold 9700 refurb. And I've kind of been wanting to come back to ATT for the ease of phone swappable, and if I want to go back to Android I can pick up an N1.
It's just you buy a GSM phone off E-Bay there is no chance of a ESN being bad.

Hey andy,

I am considering porting to ATT from VZW for the iPhone 3GS when the price drops. How is ATT's service compared to VZW? Is the call quality more garbled?

Thanks in advance.

ESN's can still be blacklisted if they are reported stolen. So yes, just like with a CDMA carrier, ESN can be blacklisted from a GSM providor such as Tmobile or At&t

OK, let's put it this way; I've never had a problem with a GSM phone purchased off E-bay. I've had several with CDMA phones.
I know it's not the carriers fault but it's one less headache I'll have with ATT.

Well if you want an iPhone I'd wait a little because rumor is ATT will be launching the next iPhone very soon. If not I believe Wal-Mart has an iPhone for $97. 😳
I've never had any trouble with ATT in the past and there were times I was surprised that I still had coverage with them.
Voice quality is better than VZW. With VZW it's more dependent on what phone you have, that's just my experience. 😉
