Hey AT&T, where are the Android phones? Not everyone wants a iphone. We know its your precious sales leader and that your in bed with Apple but you really need to consider Android before your customers leave for other carriers, all of which carry Android phones.

The iPhone is a fad? Most fads don't last 2 years +. Every manufacturer is trying to compete by producing touchscreen smartphones with similar features.
Android phones are known by most smartphone users. AT&T is coming out with one in the near future. This OS has become very popular.

yeah.. it would be interesting to see ATT try and position the Android and the Iphone. I don't think android would do as well for them simply because they wouldn't advertise it as much (if at all after initial launch)

which looks like a sweet phone, and I'm happy for my GSM friends.
But what I'm saying is that ATT can't really advertise it since they've backed themselves into a corner with how much they are pushing the Iphone.

Same as with Verizon and the iPhone. You don't carry something you say is crap.
We as an agent were very careful about talking down the iPhone knowing one day we would probably carry it.
If things go the way they seem T-Mobile will be the winner. AT&T will have iPhone. Verizon will have android. T-Mobile will have both.

Verizon hasn't really bashed the iphone though. Yes, they've made fun of the fact that it is more form instead of function, and it's inability to multitask, but they're not saying it's a poor product, but instead they are trying to position the Droid as something other than an iPhone clone, because if people pick up a Droid expecting it to work like an iphone, they will hate the device.
In fact, several commercials (Island of Misfit toys comes to mind) point out how cool the iphone is, and that's why it's such a shame it's on a "crappy" network.
