Hi, I went to the AT&T store to pick up my iphone and they said they could port my number from Tracfone. When they tried the number it showed up as a AT&T number and they were unable to port it. Is it possible to port from Tracfone?

Thanks

No, it's not. You can't port any number from Tracfone I don't think. They have them locked I think.

Contact Tracphone; but I believe it would be a conversion from prepaid to post paid services; i can see tracphone accounts in the billing system...BUT i am not entirely sure im not at work nor do i have the guidelines memorized; id say best bet is to call tracphone care see if its possible.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. No, wait, you do, because you work for Vz. You don't know anything about Tracfone though. But you work for Vz, so you know everything. However, I still think you don't know what you're talking about, but I'm not sure...

Is that a Verizon corporate response?

If so, that a coming-soon "F" off, like LTE, open phones, rainbows and puppy dogs, or is that now available? Is there an extra charge for the F-off. Is this an unlimited F-off, or an unlimited F-off up until they get tired of telling him to F-off?

I generally do not subscribe to monthly F-off services, but once in a while I too enjoy a good F-off. Are they available on an ad-hoc basis through Get It Now?

If this isn't a Verizon response, but your own, I seriously expected better from you.

You're wasting your time. And Get It Now is the same as AT&T Media Mall.

I have successfully ported tracphone numbers to Verizon. In the field where you are suppose to enter the tracphone account number, I was able to get away with the sim number which can be found right on the handset.

I get the same message about it being an AT&T number so I'm not sure how it works with you guys.

That's a tricky one, cause Tracfone resells att numbers as theirs, so I can pull their account but not make changes.

I called AT&T and asked to speak to the porting department. The lady was really nice and said that it was no problem to transfer the number. I was told to get a phone with a temp number and then call them to have it switched. I was really surprised with the level of customer service they had over the phone. I only wish the local store had the same. Thanks for all your help!

Yes you can definitely port in a number from Tracfone. Tracfone is a reseller of AT&T. You just need to call ATT port administration center 888-898-7685.
