Why all the nagging and moaning?.... geez..
I have at&t for over a month now, I currently have the iPhone 3GS. Everyone on here seems to be hating on at&t and saying drop calls.. blah blah, etc etc.. I havent experience that yet, and its been over a month. I have traveled to dallas,tx, kansas, ms, lincoln and omaha, nebraska, and arizona. I had good signal all the way, sometimes it went back to EDGE, but still full bars. I made a call back home to london on a calling card, talked for about 2 hours, didnt even drop a call or anything, it stayted connected. and yesterday i called my gf and we talked for an hour no problems. I get 3G everywhere I went too, but it did go to EDGE.

fanboy?? yeah, i am an apple fanboy, and i like there products. but i will never switch to verizon even if they get the iphone, why? CDMA technology, its locked down. CDMA technology is limited, and verizon cripples there phones.
GSM is the world standard. Sim cards baby! I also have a nokia N97. and my home is london. GSM you have a lot more wider selection of phones than that thing you call... CDMA.. haha!!

are you serious? how old are you, like 12? AT&T doesn't need LTE (yet) since they're upgrading to HSPA+ which will have very similar speeds to LTE (at launch) You make fun about AT&Ts "small 3G network" but wait until you get LTE. First you'll only use it for data cards, notebooks for the first 6 months or so, and then if you're lucky enough (or you ki$$ a$$ big time to LG, Motorola, or Samsung which are the only major manufactures you got) to convince them to make you a phone that runs on LTE and obsolete CDMA..... and still end up with a POS like the Chocolate phone or a Dare. Verizon=Sad 😢

I agree with you completely. It's like some people make it a habit to let everybody know when they drop a call. I traveled a 300 mile stretch of lonely highway between Colorado and Kansas, where you couldn't see civilization in any direction for tens, if not hundreds of miles and my service worked great the entire time. I MAY have been using somebody else's towers, but I could care less about that, main thing is that my service was working....and it did, great.

hey thanks for the input toaster! thats what im talking about! verizon fanboys say, " beware" of drop calls and no service, even my friends who have verizon said that.. well... i got full coverage even traveling through boonies and talked for hours and still no drop call or lost signal.

Stop lieing. For real dude. Verizon doesn't have Roaming charges in the US. And our ERI doesn't say Roaming, it says Extended Network. Your making up a story. And Other then your city, AT&T is horrible in the majority of the US. And all the places you were saying, you roamed alot to get there, but AT&T doesn't tell you when you are roaming. Save the lies for something els dude.

This tower has EVDO but the next one only has 1XRTT. Anyone can make a map that shows all signal strengths the same color. But it is not an honest map and gives no indication of actual customer experience. In our market Sprint and AT&T have more 3G coverage than Verizon.
I have sold Verizon in the past and they are very good. I don't think they are the best but they do not suck either. Their coverage maps including the 3G coverage maps are misleading.
But you know anyone who spends 2 billion dollars per year on TV ads will convince people they are the best. Without the investment in TV ads you would struggle to stay ahead of the rest of ...

VZW fanboys note: your RF is not superior to other carrier's RF. Every carrier drive tests their network every day just like you. For the record both the Telephia and the Mind Wireless studies conducted a while back showed that VZW drops more calls than AT&T. Your EVDO is slower than Sprint's. Your handsets are not reliable but you are good at exchanging them in warranty. Your rural voice coverage is not as good as AT&T's in the West. So what are you crowing about?

I will agree that all carriers have there faults. With that being said, more surveys state that VZW has the fewest dropped calls and the most reliable network. 3G is faster and larger in the US on VZW. The only other point I agree with is phone selection and once LTE is release (Verizon Wireless will be the first US company to launch) the phone selection will be amazing. We all know that once VZW gets the Iphone as well and Android devices that AT&T Wireless will start to loose there customer base.
