Cingular v. T-Mobile network

I have been a T-Mobile customer for a little over 1 year. Service has been fairly good for the most part and my rate plan is great...$99.00 for 5000 anytime,anywhere minutes, no roaming charges or LD. Cingular also has some great new plans, which I could piggyback my wife's phone to and expense both off for work, saving me $$$. The question is, how does the Cingular GSM network compare to the T-Mobile network? Some Cingular rep at a mall Kiosk tried to tell me the Cingular GSM network wa smuch larger than the T-Mobile network, but I was very skeptical. I am based in Atlanta, and travel all over the east coast for business and out west (i.e Vegas) 3-4 times per year. My only complaints with T-Mobile have been poor reception near the beach...

If you look at the maps, Cingular has a much larger network than T-Mobile. T-Mobile only uses 1900mhz throughout it's network. Cingular uses 850 and 1900 bands to give you a lot more coverage.

Atlanta is cingular country, i dont think you could any get better there. they also have a very strong presence in south florida. I believe they own alot of the GSM towers in vegas too

Cingular's GSM network is a HELL of a lot larger than T-mobile's. I wouldnt be surprised to see T-mobile fall out of the picture within a year or two anyways.
