Maybe in some markets. I don't think it does in the NorthWest States using POS.Com II.

Depending on your phone you could do prepay with an unlimited internet feature added on. I think it's offered for $20/month. I could be wrong however as I can't add them in the store. It's done through prepaid.

If it were the case, you would set up a prepaid account. Purchase $20 worth of prepaid service. Then call Prepaid Customer Service and add the feature. It would take the twenty off your account and you'd have 30 days of internet.

The unlimited internet (Media Net) option for prepaid was eliminated nationwide last month.

You can do it without a contract. The data rates w/o voice are 5.00 more than the add on data rate.

If you don't have a device you would pay full retail, if you have one, just sign up with it, then verify with customer service or another store and make sure the contract wasn't added.

What market are you in? Do you use Telegence? I'm pretty sure POS.Com II won't allow you to do it. Maybe its a cor only thing.

We use Telegence (Care up until late summer). We use OPUS in the store.

That might be why. With POS.com II I can not select a no contract option when setting up new service. I also do not have the stand alone features under the expanded rate plan options.

It can also be done in Phoenix as a Co-Am activation with a 0-year contract.

Yes.

You will pay full retail for the device, and the BlackBerry Personal plan would be $35/month as data-only. Some areas may charge an extra $25 SIM fee (as that is whats technically supposed to be done) but I know we don't do it in my store.

As far as I know, only Laptop Connect data plans require the 12 month minimum contract.

If you ever try to add a line on a FT plan and it only lets you do 12 month minimum, you are supposed to change the whole group to a newer version of the rate plan (just change the group to the same thing they currently have) and the new bill code will allow FT lines to be added on at 0 month commit.
