No 850 band, I wouldn't risk it.

After I posted this thread, I went to You Tube, there were some videos of folks using this device on the AT&T network.

Absolutely. My point was AT&T uses both 850 and 1900 MHz bands, so you will get anything on the 1900, but you will not get anything 850. I'm sure it will work on AT&T in some places, but some places it will not. I would not risk it myself.

hi sorry to intrude i have the 168+ and have att and i get fine service on the 850 band. the version that doesnt have the 850 is the 168 but the 168+ has it along with some other upgrades. its a great phone and a much cheaper way to get a full touch screen phone. it also is able to do some things the iphone cant. like video record, send mms, send pics to emails. and it has a 2 mp camera thats pretty good. also it has a memory card slot that takes a 4 gig transflash so you can put streaming movies and music on it. i got mine from ebay for around $140.00. hope this helps.

Wouldn't it be sooo funny to find out these 168+ phones were made side by side with the iPhone in the same factory?!?

Let's get Geraldo to investigate that one! 🤣
