Why buy the tilt

pronexs

Mar 5, 2008, 4:35 PM
Every customer that walks out with the tilt walks right back in to get rid of it. I am not happy with this device. Is there any real reason to push this phone. Reception is crap on it and it is not user friendly at all. Does anyone have a good experience with one? 😕

User friendly? It's WinMo6. If you've worked a computer in the last five years it should cake.

Ours is $199 with a two year, but as a rep you can't resign a contract every week so we pay full price.

Our pricing dominates the Wal-Mart down the road and we'll match any website for the right plan; meaning if you add a **** ton a features we'll give you a free whatever the hell you want and we haven't even had a customer screw us over by adding it and then dropping it a day later. We're not like Amazon.

That sounds too good to be true.

I thought the same. But apparently we pull enough from the feature sales to compensate for the phone losses. We take an instant loss with every sale.

Not if you're already in contract.

I love mine. I don't understand your comment on reception. My experience is that it's been great; significantly better than the blackberry 8700 it replaced.

It's very flexible and capable, and there lies the problem. If your a user that wants a phone that "just works," this is not the phone for you. It will do anything, but sometimes takes some work to figure out how to get it done.

I think that is what scares people... that you have to learn about it to use it. If someone wants a phone and doesn't want to look at the owners manual and learn and read than they won't be good with this phone. I get a lot of buisness customers that say they just don't have time to learn how to use a phone. Thats is where I was comming from. And I guess the reception thing is hit or miss because I have had a lot of customers complain about it.

I am currently using the tilt and have much worse reception then I did on my curve.

Easy to use since I know windows. But very slow for as much memory as it has even with no active programs. I have heard this from all of the reps in my company who are currently using this device.

I was much happier with the curve.
