yeah the samsungs always show that they have good reception but go to an area with bad service and with a nokia you will show one bar and hold clear calls while with a samsung you'll probably lose reception compleytely

Any Nokia will have outstanding reception for you..

Nokia 6555 would be a nice phone to invest in, should be coming out in a red sometime soon......i would say the curve is a nice choice though if your looking for a high end phone, and i ecpect that the Q9h and blackjack II will have good reception too.

Any Nokia is going to give a better reception.Internal antenna and the antenna is at the top of the phone and not the bottom.

Just wondering about reception, call quality, screen prone to scratching (any recommendations for that?), durability.

Thanks.

Thanks.

it's beautiful phone. i've been using it for over a week now. the screen is one of the best i've seen. camera is very very good. i can't say anything about the screen scratching, i like bar style phones so i've gotten use to keeping them from getting scratched. the build quality is fine. it's light weight so it gives the impression of not being very stable but it's fine. reception is ok. i'm staying out in the woods and it doesn't pick up very well, but when it does, it holds onto a signal enough to get calls if using bluetooth.

Thank you!

A second question (I have been on a CDMA network for a while now): Using GSM, would it be correct to say that to switch phones, all I need to do is put the SIM card in a different phone?

Yes. As long as the phone is unlocked. If you go back and forth between att phones them you'll have no problem.
