RIMs aren't that nice with bluetooth. They'll take OBEX transfers from other RIM devices and they send well, but they can't receive from every device. It's kind of hit or miss.

Curve to Curve will be a breeze. I've never tried from an N75 though. As long as you're sending from the RIM to another device there shouldn't be any problems at all.

Wrong I just got my curve 8300 frome AT&T and thought the same thing. I had a razor from alltel and transfered all my ring tones and pics via blue tooth. You can not just connect the two devices and try to send stuff to the curve, you have to tell the black berry to accept stuff (pics, ring tones ) first, go to the place you want to save stuff in (media folder) ring tones or pics and such, and click your bb button and select recive using blue tooth. simple and it works great.
That is why vzw makes all the phones the same so you can jump from one to another and use them

No, it's not wrong. I said it's hit or miss. RIM devices tend to be a little more picky because RIM doesn't wanna just leave the door open. I have some phones that will send things back and forth, and some that wont. If you ask a Blackberry rep, they'll tell you the same thing. I've asked them, and it's exactly what they say.

No no, it must be AT&T that limits the bluetooth compatability on blackberries... because afterall, the carrier has complete control over every aspect of every device that works on their network.. I mean, just ask all the whiners about Verizon Wireless. Each time a manufacturer leaves something out of a phone its all Verizon Wireless's fault! So this must be AT&T's fault!!

And the whole iphone being locked down, all AT&T, nothing at all to do with apple

Oh well.....it's not like Verizon needs your business anyway. Here's an idea: When you get your two Curves why don't you try and bluetooth yourself to another planet so that this world is rid of one more cry baby.

Verizon and Sprint and their crippled phones. Makes me laugh. When either of you get a phone, with built in GPS with voice navigation and maps, and Wi-Fi, and 3G, and 5MP camera, and VGA resolution video recording, full Bluetooth capabilities, full HTML web browsing, TV out functions, MP3 player with stereo Bluetooth plus more features, please please please let me know. Until then, phones on other carriers are inferior to what we can use.

Go for it man!! I've heard its really nice. I am sticking with my original N95 for now. Got some pretty good cracked programs/apps that I dont want to take the chance of not working on a new phone. They dont have 3G in my area yet, and at home I use my Wi-Fi so I am good in that area. I did just get me a Bluetooth keyboard, and now I fell in love alllllll over again with my N95. It truly does give it the "computer in your pocket" experience. That will forever be an accessory I will always have from now on.

Amen! I HATE vzw. Has anyone else been paying attention to the vzw vs FCC thing? Any company that uses legal action to keep another company from offering something that vzw doesnt want to offer is just a joke. It just cements my belief that vzw wants to charge you for anything and everything you do. and if google wants to give it up for free - well vzw cant have that! they gotta sue to keep the money flowing into its own pocket.

I guess you havent been paying attention to the vzw vs the FCC thing.. the entire reason there is the section of spectrum given to the "open access" rules is because of google bribing the FCC by saying "we wont bid unless you change the rules to the way we want them to be" VZW just steped in and said that is bull and tried to get the FCC to change the rules back to the way they should be. The owners of the Spectrum should be able to use it any way they want, but Google wants the FCC to force things on the owners so they can have roaming partners for their plans...

Each day, more and more people realize this. I work in telesales, so I get to do the temp activations like the one you did. For some reason most plp doing temp activations come from vz, and they stay.

Trust me when I say, we are glad to see your whiny ass go 🙂

If a phone is just an extension of your reproductive organ, VZW doesnt really want you. Looks like you found a good fit, hope you enjoy your extension 🙂

Congrats and welcome tk421, at&t rocks! And, yes primus, our phones are an extension, not just a device that can complete a call and thats it. You can't do crap with verizon phones, and they are all the same boring vcast software. Maybe you will look outside your little box and realize what the rest of the world is up to.

It's actually funny how much attention these AT&T forums receive from you verizon people, it must be boring in that little box.
