mMode v. Data

Jul 24, 2005, 10:34 AM
Want to get a Treo 650 as a business customer (ATT still). I was told by the business line they can still sell me a Treo 650 (Blue sim), but that I would need to change my voice plan and data plan. Lemme know the truth... If I got an unlocked GSM Treo and popped in the sim I have on an all-you-can-eat mMode account would there me any downside? Would it work at the same speed as paying $45 for the data plan that comes with the Treo?

An unlocked anything most likely is not going to work for data at all. I've never encountered an unlocked phone that had functioning mmode
