The VX6000 IMO is a very good phone with a GREAT color screen with 260k colors. If your within your 15 day return policy you have the option to exchange the phone and try out another one. Just be sure that you ask before you exhcnage the phone on wether or not you can exchange back if you don't like the audiovox.. No one here yet can give you any type of review on wether the audiovox is a better phone or not, becz it has not been released yet.

Even though.... the 8900 hasn't been released yet... I would have my money on the 8900 just because its Tri-mode instead of all digital... I still have areas where I live that are sometimes analog... and I need to recieve phone calls.. my friends all have the 6000 and always cuts in and out... my 720 gets better reception than it does... I'll be getting the 8900 on the 12 I'll post my thoughts about the phone.... oh the speakerphone is also a major plus... the only thing the 8900 lacks in my opinion is a flash for low light situations like clubs and bars....

Well I purchased the 8900 today although would have liked to have my perfect phone...the size is great, the color is great, however the camera is so so...no flash..no zoom...two different reps told me now new camera phones til spring so I decided to just get it..so far I'm pleased though

Ive only used it a few times so far and never while speaking to another person on the other line. As far as volume goes it worked real well. Not sure of how people hear it on the other end

I just got my 8900 - time to start hammering it - let's see if it survives the 15 day extreme test!
