Is insurance worth it?
alohaJun 7, 2006, 5:08 PM
I have never had insurance on any of my VZW phones but I am considering getting it on my Q because it doesn't feel like it would survive a drop. Have any of you had dealings with replacing a phone? In other words if I drop my phone and break it, do they make it difficult/impossible to get a new one?
I assume you would get a refurb but from what I read they don't guarantee that you will even get the same type of phone. If this is true?
Any negative or positive input you have would be helpful.

Insurance is HIGHLY recommended in my store, especially when it is a higher end phone like the Q. In my store, we offer an in-store protection plan that will give a customer an over the counter replacement, new phone, for only $19.95, but most of the direct stores will offer a monthly plan that goes through a secondary company and they can send you a different, but comparable, phone for a deductible if for some reason your particular model is not available. I have sold the monthly protection before and rarely saw anything negative. Hope this helps!

insuarance is insurance it all sucks, if you use you get your moneies worth if not then most people tend to think it was a waste but to replace a Q not fun i agree most high end phones should have insuarance, just in case.
I've had a few bad experiences but not much can be done to fix those it's standard wireless industry or insuarnce practices.
