a few months ago, i started having problems with my phone when I was in my house. I had the V710 at the time and my phone would jump from the digital signal to analog back and forth and i wouldn't be able to make any phone calls or receive any phone calls. at the time i thought it was the V710 because of all the little problems it seemed to have.

after various conversations with customer service, they ended giving me an E815. i get home...and it's even worse now because the 815 doesn't even have an analog feature. i can't make any calls from my house.

is there anything i can do about this? i don't think it's my house because i have lived there for 5 years now and have had verizon for 3 years and it had worked fine until recently. veri...

Don't know, but it sounds to me like they cut off the analog towers altogether, and the digital towers may have been moved to a place where they're out of range of your home. I see that Customer Support has been involved with this, but have you checked with Verizon technical support to see if there have been other problems reported in your area from other subscribers? Do you periodically hit *228 and option 2 to update your service? Other than that, I don't have a clue. It DOES sound kind of strange. I do hope you're able to resolve this without losing your Verizon service. Best of luck!

Had the same problem here is chicago back in September. I had verizon for about three years and it worked in my house but all of a sudden around august it stopped working in my house all together. I swapped out the phone which was a lg 6100 at the time and it was not the phone. I wound up switching to Sprint and it works great in my house inside and out.

Good luck.

Anyone else have problems in the chicago area I have heard a lot of people complaining about dropped calls with Verizon????

Open a trouble ticket. Verizon repair should be willing to do that.

Fyi> Cingular works great in Burlingame, although Verizon reputedly has the best Bay Area coverage.
