Another early upgrade question (not NE2)

I was offered an early upgrade. It's not the NE2 upgrade. That won't hit for a few more months. They'll let me upgrade for $20. I have the DINC and it's been really buggy since the gingerbread update and I know there is an issue with that and it can't be corrected, even with root. So my question is can I use this upgrade and get a phone from Amazon or do I have to go through the VZ store?

Most indirect dealers won't see an early upgrade. I've not come across someone who has voiced concerns about Amazon specifically, but I really doubt they would be able to upgrade your line.

Thanks. I guess I'll wait a bit then.

Any Premium Retailer can do an annual upgrade and most premium retailers won't charge the $20 like a corp location would on these. Not sure where you live, hhgrgeg (midwest and east coast) has a premium retailer and they are giving a $100 hhgregg gift card to anyone who upgrades or starts new service till the superbowl. Bestbuy is doing a $50, but I don't think they can do annual upgrades.

If you don't want to wait and you are looking for a deal on an early upgrade they are out there if you know where to look.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. Thankfully I remembered that I have an extended warranty on my phone so VZ is going to replace it with a DINC 2 and I get to save my upgrade for later. I forgot all about until I looked at my bill and I saw the charge.
