Can I take my LTE sim out of one Charge and into another?
I'm getting an insurance replacement Droid Charge tomorrow, and I want to know if I can just take the LTE sim card out of my current Droid Charge and put it into the insurance replacement.
Otherwise I'm not sure how I'm going to go about calling Vzn and registering the new LTE sim cause my old Droid Charge screen is black, totally black from being dropped, Super AMOLED technology is weird I guess.
Just trying to figure this out, UPS usually comes around 12:30 in the afternoon here, I will be tired then, and will want a smooth transition to my new Charge.

Put it in first? Then power it on and activate it? I don't want to do anything that will mess up this ALREADY active LTE sim card.

Just follow the instructions for activation that you get with the phone, just using your current SIM. If I recall correctly, the phone should be powered off when doing it, yes. Come to think of it, I'm right. Just remembering the guy activating my phone when I upgraded, he put the SIM and battery in, then powered it on. It should be the exact same for an active SIM versus an inactive one.

Super AMOLED sure is some sensitive screen tech! It was such a small crack in the screen, barely noticable, and over a 12hr period the discoloration of the screen got worse, and worse, going from blue, to black, to eventually covering the entire screen. I'm quite sure this wouldn't have happened with regular LCD tech screen. An LCD screen still would have been usable.

Makes me think I should put a screen protector on mine, that sounds painful and after paying $199.99 for the phone, I don't wanna pay the same for a deductible :\

Pay the same? The deductable isn't $199, it's $99, and in case you don't know that includes next day air delivery. I made my claim 7:30 yesterday, and should recieve mine around 12:30, that's what time UPS usually comes to where I live. I know, cause I buy a lot of movies from Amazon.

That's strange, I was charged $99 for my Charge, I've never heard of a deductable higher than $99, boy are you loaded with gadgets!

The standard AT&T insurance rates are $50 for tier 1, $125 for tier 2, and $199 for tier 3. Tier 3 was just introduced this month, and I have a creeping suspicion it has to do with the fact that AT&T is insuring the iPhone directly now. Bleh.

I swear, that are so many wierd rules about the Iphone, it's treated so, so differently than other smartphones, when it all boils down to it, it's just another smartphone, and should be treated as such.

Over a million iPhone 4S models sold in the first weekend alone, and there's a 21-28 day wait period on it. People eat it up, and Apple gets to dictate how they do.
And it's not a bad phone! I liked mine plenty. It's just way over-hyped, and not nearly as good as most people make out. Though I do see how people who want a more simple-working phone would be attracted to it, I got my mom an Android and she hates it and wants another iPhone. Lulz.

My mother still has the original Moto Droid, she has no complaints. What is it about Android that your mother doesn't like?

She's not a tech person, and had had an iPhone for a year before that. She says the iPhone is just easier for her to use. She doesn't want a phone she can customize or w/e, she wants one where she can press a little square and the phone just does what it says (like the Phone app, etc.). Personally, I'm loving the GS2 and Android, but I took the time to familiarize myself with it. And the Swype keyboard is beautiful.

Right, but before July AT&T wouldn't sell the insurance on the iPhone like it did the rest of our phones. Insurance was $4.99 a month premium with only the first two tiers, while now it's $6.99 with the three tiers.
Now AT&T sells the insurance feature on iPhones. Before they had to get an app directly through Asurion, which was something jacked up like $10.99 or $11.99 a month (!!!) with the deductible being the commitment price of a new phone (!!!!).
So basically, they kind of put them together and evened it all out...
