Before I get bashed again by the VzW
Kool-aid drinkers, look at the new 4G HTC Sensation that worthless T-Mobile is going to offer Wednesday.

Thinner, faster, made out of Aluminum construction, curved glass, dual core more pixels.

Yes indeed, VzW does like their plastic thicker brick Smartphones that's for sure. Oh, maybe it is the HTC Thunderbolt's 'flashlight' that makes it 8mm thicker. lol

8mm...really? Is that much of a big deal?

GSM phones are almost always thinner than their counterparts. nothing against Verizon for that.

I've got the Droid Charge, it's pretty damn thin. It's probably one of, if not the thinneat smartphone in Vzn's lineup.

I wasn't aware T-Mobile was launching a LTE handset. That is pretty cool.

But it isn't LTE. If it was "as capable" AT&T and T-Mobile wouldn't be deploying LTE as well.

T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42 network gets between 10-27mbps, which is similar soeeds as Vzn's LTE.

HSPA+ has great, great potential.

What current HSPA+ deployment in the U.S can achieve speeds above 30mbps? Answer: NONE

I've gotten over 30mbps quite a bit on Verizon LTE, so no, LTE & HSPA+ are not equal.

LTE is definately faster for now. I'd like to see how it competes with the 42mbps hspa+ when there are more users on verizon's LTE network.

The reason I say neither are 4G is because neither standard is certified IMT-Advanced.

"worthless t-mobile"

you called tmo worthless, and then called other people kool aid drinkers...well guess what bud? if you think tmo is worthless, you are drinking some kool aid yourself. the best wireless carrier depends on YOUR area and YOUR needs, maybe you should research those things first.

and no, i'm not gonna answer your question. 8mm is like 5/16 of an inch btw, pretty neglible difference imo.

Once again, I just wanted to give IMO, and sure enough, I was slammed. OK you all win. Like I have said in previous posts, VzW I feel is and has the most superior network par none, but not that exiting of Smartphone selections. So you don't agree? I would think that y'all would have been respectful with some of your feedback. (BTW, no I am not going to TM to try their phones, smartas_'s.) ๐Ÿ˜ก

Actually, I think everyone knows Verizon has the worst phones and the best network. It's almost depressing, but it's been that way forever. And if you complain, go elsewhere, they don't need you. But, its not just Verizon, its almost all USA service companies. We let it happen.

I have seen what real slamming is like on these forums, and you are weren't slammed. You were given a reality check. These people were actually nice to you.

If you want to know what real slamming looks like, peruse through past threads and you'll see..

Most notably:

Motorola Droid X 2 (which I have and love)

iPhone 4 (which I did have and loved, but I like my Droid better)

LG Revolution which is LTE capable

Casio Hitachi Commando (first rugged smartphone for you heavy duty people)

Samsung Droid Charge (another LTE phone)

All of these phones get solid reviews. But you personally do not like them, I am sure AT&T or T-Mobile would be happy to have you.

ok guys, i got the message. i realize that many of you have far much better technical knowledge than i. when i was most your age, i had to do a *18 just to roam. it is just like everything seems to be the same thing these days. i guess that a carrier can only pack so much close to the same thing in each phone depending on each manufacturer. i guess what i am hoping for is a droid X type phone someday in a 4g mode. it will happen i am sure. in the meantime, it is what it is now with the selection of the 4g world. no, i am not switching. like i said, vxw is and should be proud of their network, and yes, you are all correct, carriers do not really care that much about customer churn. i agree with you on that fact. let's let this post ...

"Droid x type phone in 4G."

So a 4.3 in touchscreen slab with an 8 megapixel camera, 1ghz processor, 8 gb of internal memory, running Android 2.2 and flash 10.3? I think Verizon might just have one or two phones that fit that description.....

Or are you saying that Verizon's lineup of smartphones is sh*t because they don't have one that fits the criteria of what you specifically want in a phone?

HTC Thunderbolt, Samsung Droid Charge, and LG Revolution are --ALL-- 4.3 in all touch phones, no variety, no choice, THREE LTE smartphones, still no qwerty keyboard LTE smartphones.

The only reason I got an LTE smartphone now rather than continue to wait for one to come out that matches the specs I want, is so that I can lock in an unlimited 4G data plan.

Do you all feel that Verizon will take away the UNLIMITED DATA soon, or just speculation (anyone have dates)? Second, same for the NE2? I hate to be pressured into something that I do not exactly want, BUT, I do not want to waste the opportunity to save a buck either while I can. Thanks.

Which is preciesly why I got a 4G smartphone NOW, rather than waiting for one to come out that matched the specs that I want. Now I'm locked into an unlimited 4G data plan. I watch a lot of news videos, video uses more data, it sure does rack up fast. At least with 4G I don't have to wait for video to load and buffer.

Jay, I read through these forums a lot because they are some of the only ones I can get to at work. That being said, I think anyone who has seen one post about 4g unl data or your new charge, or even what you use for it or your career. No need to constantly repeat yourself.
