daughter has it on her Blackberry...works fine for her. When it goes away, is she gonna be grandfathered???

Yep. As long as she sticks with that phone she should be fine.

Not sure what will happen when she wants to upgrade though yet, but I suspect it will be like other grandfathered plans. it should work fine on 3g phones, but won't work on LTE devices (and possibly the 3g iphone)

Blackberry features are not compatible with other smartphones. So as long as she sticks with those.

Ah yeah.. forgot about that little issue.

It's kind of annoying that Android/winmo/webos all share the same code, but blackberry doesnt.

Same thing with Sprint. Makes ESN swaps a needless hassle.

I have researched this so much.

What Blackberry does she have?

I have a Blackberry 8830 and I struggle to get pass 100mb a month.

I pay the $15. We can be grandfathered in.

They will have a new option for $10 for 75mb per month. Cheaper, but more expensive per mb.

8330 Curve...

9.85MB of 150 MB halfway thru the current bill cycle...

75mb for $10 won't be available on smartphones

just as a grandfathered $15 150MB plan won't be available on an iphone4

I have a BB Bold, which I set to wifi both at home and at the office. As a result, I use very little data over the phone connection. Even when I didn't set it on wifi, I still rarely consumed more than 30 MB during any month. The 150 MB plan is more than adequate for my usage. In fact, I wonder how many BB owners ever surpass 150 MB in a month.
