3G Multimedia and Simple phones, now there is no reason to wait.

All customers who have a 3G MM or Simple are eligible to upgrade to a smartphone. This is an offer in select regions only and one of them is here in Texas.

It will target certain customers. The requirements are that you must have a non-pda phone and upgrade to any pda. Must have current phone for at least 6 months and not eligible to upgrade before May 2010. Bogo's are not included with this promo.

I have been told by customer service the only line eligible are individual accounts or primary line on family share as long as it han`t been upgraded within the last six months. The bulletin I saw doesn`t say that and on the bottom it does say 35 activation fee on primary and 25 activation fee on secondary line. Now if the secondary lines aren`t eligible , why would it say this on the bulletin?

Not sure what activation fees have to do with an upgrade promotion.

The point I was trying to make is : When I called about upgrade , I was told only primary lines are eligible for the upgrsde, why then does the bulletin on the upgrades mention the activation fee on secondary lines also if they are not eligible. Quite a conundrum , Isnt it?

That is their standard language. You forgot to answer to whom you spoke with.

I called the number on the bulletin and pressed #1 option. I forget what the girls name was, only that she was very polite in turning me away.

Seems like it depends on region:

You do not currently have a 3G Smartphone.
You have a consumer account, you are paying for a personal account under a company program, or you are a business customer on an account up to 999 employees.

Your account is in Northern California / Nevada or Dallas/Ft.Worth/ Central Texas as defined by zip code or mobile phone number.

I always tell people, make sure you're reading the bottom and/or fine print...

Make sure you read the bottom / fine print:

Offer applicable only to select customers.

So in other words, even if I qualify according to the print and fine print, the deciding factor is ~select customers`? that is why people leave companies

If you qualify according to the fine print, you ARE a select customer. If you don't - you aren't.
